Hi- I am very tech challenged! I just went to best buy and got very overwhelmed. I do like to research products before buying! I found this and was looking for some recommendations. I am upgrading from 4 year old slow as hell dell desktop. Here are the answers to my faq ???

_What is your budget? Under $800

_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15-16 in screen

_What screen resolution do you want? Huh?

_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Desktop replacement
_How much battery life do you need? WIll almost always be plugged in so not too much

_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? NO

_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.) All I mostly am looking for is SUPERFAST web surfing, playing music, photo/video storage and editing

_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? I store music and photos

_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them. Costco vs Bestbuy

_How long do you want to keep your laptop? As long as possible

_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them. Should I buy extended warranty if buy from BestBuy. I want fast internet and am trying to decide between Intel Core 2 and AMD Turion X2

_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. Had really bad prior experience with HP but would consider again.

_What country do you live in? USA

I hope this can help people to better find their ideal notebook.
