I'm considering upgrading my

Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz (3MB Cache 800MHz FSB) Processor to a Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB) Prcessor.

Do you think I'll notice a significant difference? Do you think the difference I'll get is worth the $329? (If not, feel free to suggest any laptop processors).

I wanted an Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 2.8GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB) Processor, but it's too expensive for me. The most I could possibly spend is around $500.

Btw, my laptop is an Alienware Area-51 m17x
