i was running my OS on a RAID system ( a FastTrak 4000 SX with 2*2 80 GB HDD in a 2 RAID 0 config ), I then bought a SATA drive and installed it, on my onboard Sata controler(its allso a RAID controler ). After that I started installing windows and my RAID drivers for both Controlers, so far no problems, Next was to update windows, and after I had updated it to SP1 my system hang while booting up. I later on figured out that the lockup was caused by my FastTrak raid controler, and it booted fine if the controler wasnt in the system.

is there anyone that know this type of problem and/or know if there is a solution, for as it is right now i cant run with both my FastTrak RAID and boot on the SATA drive. there is no problem the other way around though, or if I use a Pata drive to boot from insted.
the problem arises after I update window to SP1.

Promise controllers aren't compatible with each other, i.e. you can't use more than one in a system. Change your FastTrak 4000SX for a non-Promise card and you should be fine.
