I have 1.2 ghz duron, 160 g hard drive, and 512mb ram. Also my video card is a best data geforce2

here is what i want to do. Record TV ,Watch the recorded shows on my TV . Burn them into a DVD.

Also want to be able to play MP3's from the computer onto my stero system.

I plan on buying a HDTV 16:9 TV/monitor

What will be better buying the equipement for my computer to be able to do this (wasn't sure if the tv cards would give good enough quality for playback on a real TV)? or buying a DVD-RAM with hard drive.
