I just got Windows 7 Ultimate for my laptop which doesn't boot up. So I put my DVD in and then I boot from CD. Windows 7 start up logo comes up and it looks like it is workings. A few seconds later blank screen with a mouse comes up. I waited for 2 hours and it is still the same.

Try to boot from the disk and repair the system. If that doesnt work it probably was installed incorrectly.

If I were to guess I would say that you have a faulty hard drive, anyway that would be the first thing that I would test.

Same here, test the hard drive take it out and plug it up to another comp test it. also try clearing the cmos sometimes works go into bios and check ur settings make sure it is showing up there you will know.

I'm running window 7 ultimate 64 bit on my dv2712tu with no problems upgraded from vista straight formated hard drive with fresh install from bootup
