Hello, Today I was using my laptop normally when it started to make a funny noise. The funny noise was followed by the computer freezing so I had to hard stop it and try to restart. When I did that I got the standard windows screen that says "Windows was not properly shut down, would you like to start in safe mode...". I choose to start Windows normally (probably a bad move). Anyway, it frooze during boot up so I had to had to hard stop again. Now, when I start up I get the standard Toshiba screen followed by DOS with a blinking cursor. The cursor stays for 15-30 secs before turning into this symbol "╗" and thats it. I have to ctrl+alt+delete and the process repeats. Any ideas whats going wrong and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

The hard disk was probably writing at the time you rebooted it. You'll need to reinstall windows - your copy is now corrupted.
