i recently purchased the upgrade pre order from newegg and was hoping to upgrade from xp 32 which i kno is possible i i clean install using the upgrade. However, if i clean install would i be able to go to 64 bit as i am running a core i7 setup with 6 gb ram and would this 64bit be included in the upgrade?

Just buy Windows 7 64-bit when it comes out, or get your hands on the RC until then.

I think the pre-order kit is mis labeled as an upgrade. Windows-7 requires a clean install.
