my medusa 5.1 headset mic stopped working

one day i must've put it down a bit hard because my mic stopped working. i normally have the mic twisted all the way down and then bending the arm close to my mouth. when it stopped working i was able to fix it by twisting the part by the earpiece almost to the highest point. now it doesn't work at all whatever angle i have it at. i unscrewed the ear piece and theres 2 wires that seem to have been ripped off, there both wrapped in black insulation and one wire comes out completely bare copper and the other one is wrapped in white insulation, i can't figure out where they connect to. please help.
