burning error please help

I have tried to back up one of my DVDs and it keeps crapping out on one of the files and won't let me copy. The error says "cannot copy VTS_03_3: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" I don't know what this error means. Is there a way that I can fix this problem? Thanks for any help.

Your drive cannot read the disc. It may be dirty or scratched.

A different drive might have better luck reading it as well.

yeah I tried one of the DVD drives at my work and they could read it, so I will have to try another DVD burner or maybe the disk scratch removal things. Thanks again for the reply.
