I have not heard too much about K-byte, but from what I heard they use generic chips on their PCBs. They are ok for motherboards thet are not too picky about the type of memory it uses. If your system is picky then they may cause system instability.

What kind of instability?? Like "I refuse to not crash in the BIOS" instabilty....or "I refuse to run Prime95 and memtest86 w/o error" instability? I got K-byte for an old system of mine and it worked for awhile (about 3 months), now it crashes in BIOS--wondering if the RAM was the cause.
