I picked this up on the net and tried it on my monitors. It's easy to tell which are faster/slower. If slower, the text leaves "trails".
"... monitor image "tearing" in games. That is caused by a 3D setting in the came called "V-Sync" that they do not have turned on. The tearing is probably more noticeable since they switched to this monitor because it is so fast you can see the tearing more easily. To test ghosting goto "Run" and type "dxdiag". Then go to Display tab and press the "Test Direct 3D" button. Check for blur as the 3D cube rotates. The text is the best thing to check. If the text is blurry then the response of the monitor is probably low...."
