hi, I need help on picking out some new cables for my Sony PS2. I was wondering if I should get a Monster 24k gold Svideo cables for $20.00....OR....some component no name brand for $10.00. I know component cables are supposed to be better, so im kinda leanin toward them since they're cheaper, but i also kno that monster cables are pretty well known, and if the gold would effect anything.

Thank you very very much

Component is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS better than S-Video, Monster made or not. I'm guessing you have a HD TV for this PS2 to hook up to? SD TV doesn't usually have component plugs, not that I've ever seen. If you can find some nice component cables, better than the $10 ones, I would recommend those though. Monster is nice but too expensive, as good can be gotten for less. Invest in good cables, it's always worth it.

I've never seen a 24K Cable pure gold it too soft so they typically use a lesser grade of gold really I believe they are 24K Plated at best. I'll bet you could get a Monster cable Component Cable. I've found Monster to have many different cables of different prices and quality’s.
