I am planning on building a AMD64 3400+ with the MSI K8N Neo Platinum motherboard (motherboard not yet chosen). I am planning to use this computer for gaming and i couldn't decide which ram to use. I have the XMS Corsair RAM (2x512) and the OCZ technology (Type not decided yet but a single DDR module) in mind.

Any suggestions on which RAM i should use for best performance or even suggestions on which motherboard with which ram would be great.. thx alot!

Both memory maers are top notch.
I suggest going with whoever offers the memory with the lowest timmings. If both sticks have the same timmings go with whoever is the cheapest in your area...

Even the finnickiest of boards, like the one you're going to buy, like OCZ. If you check MSI Forum you will find few if any problems with OCZ, the exception being the EB sticks. This board has problems with LL memory. Plan on running 2.5,3,3,10.

Go ahead and get the MSI and some OCZ Performance. I would recommend 2 X 512 but I think it is available in 1gb sticks. MSI just released a new BIOS for the KN8 and even E-mailed me a new revision for my NEO-FIS2R board. I've had three E-mails today from Tech Support. NVidia is working on issues too. One issue you won't have is using OCZ Performance with this board! Get the PC3700 and shoot for a 236mhz buss! I may even change my sig if this Beta Bios works!

I would go with OCZ. But if you are looking in the high quality field then check out mushkin too.
