Hey all,

A friend of mine is wondering what the most stable 1gb DDR400 memory would be for an A64 3200+ on the MSI K8N Neo Platinum... Hes not going to overclock.

I would recommend using:

http://www.crucial.com/store/listm [...] ge&cat=RAM

If he needs 2x512MBs of memory or 1gig modules just select the ones you want.

Talk about a plug for Cruical....

Thinking more along the lines of two sticks of 512 DDR400 CL2, prolly OCZ or XMS.. still wanting to hear from some other people about it

OCZ PC3700 Performance will guarantee you a 236mhz FSB at 2.5,3,3,10. I know it will run well with that board! CAS2 memory does not! :smile:

Wait, Anandtech was praising the nForce3 250 series for working with Cas2 RAM, and now it doesn't? So the SiS 755 chipset is still better?

Naw, there's people getting CAS2 out of it up to a 230mhz FSB <A HREF="http://forum.msi.com.tw/thread.php?threadid=51996&sid=&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1" target="_new">here.</A> They seem to be working on the issues they have and are send out Beta Bios fixes. I even got one E-mailed today for the 875P NeoFIS2R that now resides in my closet. I really shouldn't comment on anything I haven't built, especially since I have a bone to pick with these people! It's kinda funny though that after two weeks I get three E-mails from tech support in one day. I may have to change my sig!
