Want to force game to run in window

I have Tiger Woods 2004 which for some bizarre reason will only run in
800 x 600 resolution on my XP SP2 fast system (with GeForce FX5700LE
256mb graphics card) which looks pixilated and awful. My TFT screen
runs 1280 x 1024 and if I set this resolution option in the game it
still runs 800 x 600.

Is there any way to get a game like this designed to run maximized to
run in a window as I figure this could solve my problem.

I have tried setting the short cut to run in window mode but it makes
no difference.

Any help appreciated

I would check the "Options" of the game and set it to run in your
monitor's default resolution. Also, go to the game website and get
any updates/patches available for it. While there, I would check
their FAQs and user forums. Perhaps it's a known issue and they
(Vendor) have posted instructions to resolve it.
