I have a working monitor right now but it's starting to get a little old and is developing a little line that runs down it. I don't know much of anything about LCD's but I try to keep my eyes open for deals on them. I've come across two good deals. Do you guys think you could compare these two for me and help me figure out which one would best suit my needs? Thanks.

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824116014
this is 156 after the rebate.

2. http://review.zdnet.com/HANNS_G_HC [...] 87463.html
I can get that for 109 after rebate.

I just built a new computer thats primarily designed for gaming. Should I pick up either one of these, or just wait till I have a little more money and get something better? Thanks.

The clear winner of the two is the Viewsonic. I've never even heard of the other brand. the pixel response time is also better for the Viewsonic which is important for gaming. Enjoy your purchase!

Au contraire.... the Viewsoic is not "the clear winner".

The Hanns-G has significantly better customer reveiws at Newegg, there is a significant price difference, and we all know that maker's "response time" claims can't be trusted.

If you want to be sure you're getting a good one for gaming, save your money a bit longer, then check out the Viewsonic VX922 and Samsung 931C.
