Freezing in Menus and such.

Hello. First time I've ever asked anything, not too terribly tech savvy either so bare with me now.

When opening menus in programs, copy pasting, menus through right clicking I'll have the program and Windows (W7 ultimate edition) freeze up momentarily. I'll have the program stop responding and then it'll respond fine. That delay is worrisome though.

I've no idea what it is.

Is it a LEGAL copy of Ultimate as some of the free (illegal) downloaded versions, come with a rather nice set of viruses ?

Bahaha, yeah it's legit. I don't think it is a virus on a serious note though. Ran MSE, Spybot, forever CCleaning. I don't download or click anything sketchy and first sign that I even tread in bad water I run scans. MSE usually runs em in the morning.

Its just really strange. Its an out of the blue problem. Been on this system for a looong time now.

Try running a Full scan with MALWAREBYTES (its free)

Did you run it in safe mode? Read the guide for malware/viruses removal http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/8263-63-simple-free-guide-removing-malware

Ran it in safemode. No problems detected.

Had my inlaw take apart the PC and renew the thermal paste to my heatsink and replace a crappy sata cable and everything is running fine. Just thought I'd update this.
