Hi

I'd like to play console games on my monitor. I was thinking of a video tuner but they lack high definition output. I was suggested to get a monitor with component input. How well would this work? My biggest concern is image stretching in HD Widescreen games on a 4:3 monitor, and vice versa (4:3 stretched on a widescreen monitor.)

if anyone has any experience/suggestions on this, please help.

Thanks.

I ran my Xbox 360 through my CRT monitor.
I bought a cable for it that was VGA. It was about AU $40.

I tried a few resolutions but I found it was always like watching a widescreen DVD on a 4:3 screen, meaning it would have a black strip along the top and bottom of the screen.
Aside from that it looked pretty nice.
I tried it on a Samsung 215tw Widescreen LCD (native 1680x1050) as well and the upscale was very bad, it still looked nice but I'd say that is all because of the monitor itself being awesome.
