DDR3 RAM

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I spend a lot of time in India so a good Indian warranty is a big plus - I'd rather not have to ship it to the US if there's a problem

I hear people have bad experiences with Dell and Alienware, which is too bad because Dell has good support in India

US and India

---------------------------

I haven't been able to find one with all the best parts in my price range.

Basically the Gateways have fast RAM and good graphics but slower CPUs: P8400(2.26GHz)
The Acer's have faster CPUs (Intel Core 2 Duo T9400) but slower graphics
The Asus's have only DDR2 RAM

Here are some I've looked at:

1) Gateway P-7805u FX -- slower processor (2.26GHz) but DDR3 RAM and Nvidia 9800 GTS

2) Acer Acer Aspire AS8930-6448 with Core 2 Duo T9400(2.53GHz) and DDR3 RAM but only NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT

3) Asus - ASUS M70 Series M70VN-X1 Intel Core 2 Duo T9400(2.53GHz) and
But only DDR2 RAM
