Hey guys,

well, this is my first time here on the CE boards. and here's my problem:

I'm looking to buy a new LCD monitor, since my 16" CRT is starting to get old. Now, I was thinking between the lines of either a 19" or a 20" since my budget is limited to $200-$300.

Here's what I'll really be needing this LCD for:

1- HD gaming on my Xbox 360 (The max resolution is 1360*768, so a 1440*900 monitor will do fine, espicially since my GPU is an old 5700LE for CSS...)

2- Computer gaming on a 5700LE (max playable resolution (25fps) being 1440*900 or somewhere along that..

3- Watching DVDs

So, I did some searching, and found out I needed a LCD with good response time, a good contrast ratio, and good colors.

I found these three, which seem good to me:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824116373

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824009100

Now, out of these, which would you guys recommend? If none of them are good for what I need the LCD for and with my budget, which ones would recommend?

Thanks,
DarkAlien

Check out the Samsung 941BW here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6824001088

I have a 940BW and it rocks -- great colors, very bright (have it set on brightness of 50 out of 100), and very good reviews.

I know several retailers are selling the Samsung 19" wide monitors (all slight variations of this) for great prices on day after Thanksgiving so you might want to check that out.
