HELP!!!!!!!!!
I have presario V6000 and the cd/dvd burner on my Windows Media Player is not working this is the messages that I get.........
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code --)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."

The check for solutions button does nothing.

I do a driver update search and vista is telling me the driver is up to date.

How do you repair this "corrupted" driver.

lucky you have vista.

start the laptop by pressing the on button
wait for the windows to load
click on start or "the window logo"
right click on "my computer"
go to device manager
find the CD or DVD drive
click on it twice
click on "update driver"
makesure internet is working and wait for it to find a driver
that's it! now use
