Hi I hope someone a lot wiser than me can help. I have searched all threads and cannot find the answer.
I have a partitioned drive and I moved my 'My Pictures' folder away from my C: \user\MY USERNAME\my pictures to the E drive partition. This has remained this way for some time but now my E drive was getting very full so I decided to move 'My Pictures' back and drop it into my C: \user folder.
That is what I meant to do, what I actually did was merge it with the user folder!! This folder is now named My Pictures and when I look at the folder properties it is named My Pictures with the folder location C: \users. On the sharing tab it shows the network path as HOME\users\MY USERNAME.
I have tried the location tab but it will not let me move the location of My Pictures because it says it cannot move a parent into a descendant.
I cannot do a system restore I have tried. Hopefully someone can help me in the best way of un-merging the two or even cleaning the user folder back up and renaming it as I have already moved all the pictures out and onto an external drive.
I'm not sure that I want to be deleting the user but if I have to I will.
