Hello.

I was using a 3COM905B in my Win2K machine without problems. I added a 2nd NIC (3COM900B) & started my machine. Now I only see the newer NIC (as Local Area Connection 2) & my original NIC (formerly Local Area Connection 1) is gone.

What happened?

Cheers,

If you loan a friend $20 & never see them again, it was worth it.

Do you have ACPI enabled or disabled? I'm thinking you've got some sort of IRQ problem. Do you see anything in the device manager? Have you tried to "add new hardware" to see if the 1st one is found (probably not)? Have you tried to switch PCI slots?

It's always the one thing you never suspected.
