ok, so i've been researching more and more and have found out some more stuff:
- 32" up to 37" (due to room constraints)
- LCD= due to Plasma's burn-in risk
- lower than 12ms= gaming/dvd
- built-in HD tuner

but what other specs do i need to be able to hook up xbox360, receiver, and a DVD player with best results? (ie: 1080i?1080p?720p?/ HDMI?connectors?).

the list so far...:
Vizio VX32L 32"=1080i?
Sharp Aquos LC32D40U 32"= but no Video Outs?!
Samsung LN-R328W =availability, and high ms, complaints of DNIe?
Westinghouse lvm37w1
Westinghouse ltv32w1
Samsung LA32R71B

this is what i'll end up hooking up to the new HDTV:
Xbox 360 (for games)
Kenwood VR-407 receiver
dvd player
pc

thanks in advance -click-it-or-ticket, peace

the sets you have are all nice, a few things ill point out on the westinghouse because i think its your best bet you dont want the westy 37w1 you will want the 37w3 alot of the earlier issues were worked out. Second its a monitor not a tv, in order to make it a tv youll need a tuner, or cable'sat box.
with that being said it makes for a very nice display, i have my 360/htpc hooked up to it and its very impressive.
i dont know where i got this pic from but its 1 reason i went with it

As another option you may want to look at sceptre <sp?> they have a 42 1080p with tuner
