This will be a 100% games machine..

I will be buying the following products...
1 AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2.2GHz, 512k L2 cache)
1 MSI K8N Neo Platinum
1 512k Corsair TWIN-X PC4000 or 1GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPRO?
1 MSI RX800 PRO-TD256
1 WD Raptor 36GB 10,000RPM

As far as memory goes, well i have no idea, the motherboard is very compatible with Corsair, but would 3200 low latency 1gb be better than high speed 512k(if i get 512k of Corsair TWIN-X 4000, down the track i will add another 512k making 1gb twin-x 4000)... bringing me to the question

512k Corsair TWIN-X PC4000 or 1GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPRO?

Thanks guys

heya scorPs:

Crucial makes very very good memory, and they have a new High performance memory line called Ballistix, so you have a few choices here.

As mention the Ballistic stuff seams to be really good.
Also AMD CPu love lower timmings more than more bandiwth so go with the XL especially if your not Ocing. Rember that these super low timmings stick can probly run much faster than 3200 if you relax the timmings a little so even if you wish to do some slight OCing id recommand going for the XL.

I'd say you can scrap the Pro part also, totaly useless if you dont have a clear panel and even then...if you like the leds go for it but its kind of a waste of money IMO.

Asus P4P800DX, P4C 2.6ghz@3.25ghz, 2X512 OCZ PC4000 3-4-4-8, Leadtek FX5900 w/ FX5950U bios@500/1000, 2X30gig Raid0
