If not i was looking to get the new esata ssd usb drive to increase memory. (http://www.ritekusa.com/product_main.asp?divisiongroup_id=9&products_id=79&group_id=Consumer)
Im trying to find out if it will be worth the buy.
I am using a AMD 2.00ghz, ATI radeon HD 3200 graphics card and 4gb ram.
Yea...i run some games on my laptop such as Doom 3, CS source, and Rainbow6 Vegas 2 although the vegas lags most the time. i was told its bc of the ram. remember im using a ATI radeon HD3200 graphics card. not very powerful..so i need the ram to back it up. u can check out the specs its a HP dv4-1220us. another link told me i could use a SSD but i dont thing that would work for me. Also when at work i run multiple apps.....photoshop, frutiloops, and dvd burning mostly.
The AMD 3200 is limiting your gaming performance. Adding RAM will not make your performance increase. In severe cases, you may need the RAM if you do super-heavy photoshop work, but other than that, 8GB of RAM is really for heavy audio editors and video editing. It won't really give you any edge in gaming.
