I just purchased a new monitor. It's an NEC Multisync FE-992 (19" ). Anyway, I've just plugged it in, and i notice there are "interference" patterns on the right and left side of the screen. I can adjust the moire from the monitor panel, and this helps with test patterns... but I still notice the effect on pictures and text when i look at them.

Is this a symptom of being a new monitor? SHould i give it a few days? Is this one bad or damaged and I should exchange for a new one? Or is this just a generally crappy monitor and I should get a different monitor entirely. I never had this problem on the Envision 710 (17" ) I had, and I figured this would be a step up.
