Hi,

I've just installed a second server, (server2) that will be replacing our
current server (server1). I've moved all the data, and server roles across
to the new server, and will be running them along side each other, until I'm
satisfied everything has been moved correctly.

One problem that has arisen is Offline Files trying to sync peoples my
documents folder with both servers. initially the my documents folder was
re-directed to server1 using group policy, which was then changed to
server2. However even though everyone's profile is pointing to server2 and
folder redirecting has been changed, synchronisation is still trying to
connect to both server1 and server2. How do I delete server1? I've gone into
the setup of offline files on some users PCs, and un-ticked server1, however
sometimes it re-appears.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a fix?

Cheers

Ben

The easiest way to do this is to reinitialize the Offline Files cache:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources [...] c_pcdz.asp

This will clear all references to the old server...
