I'm just about to buy a new monitor, currently i'm looking at these two Samsung monitors;

Samsung SM970P 19"

and

Samsung Electronics LS19 19"

There's a slight price difference between them, but i'm not too bothered about that, I just want the best monitor for my needs(gaming). I'm leaning towards the SM970P due to the lower response time, the image brightness is slightly lower though, so i'm not entirely sure...

What do you guys think?

Suggest you also check out the Samsung 971P, if available. (I would choose it over the 970P.) Haven't seen the LS19 here in my part of the USA.

While these will be good overall monitors, none have TN panels and will not have the fastest response time.... others might be better for your gaming.
