Champions: Teleporting giants question.

I had a question about a Champions character conversion I am doing. Opinions are
welcome. The character I'm converting is about 24 feet tall, and can teleport.
Well, I found a comic book where he teleports and brigs along two others, who
are also 24 feet tall. SO I was going to increase the mass he can carry. My
question is, do I merely need to add x4 mass (so he can carry a couple others of
his size) or do I need much more to carry their bulk? Basically do you get to
carry more weight with you for being bigger?

From the FAQ at the Hero Games web site:

Q: How does Teleportation and Increased Mass (or Extra-Dimensional
Movement and Increased Weight) interact with Density Increase? Must a
character with Teleportation buy Increased Mass up to his full DI weight
to be able to Teleport? If not — if he can Teleport himself without
needing Increased Mass — if he buys Increased Mass, does it double his
DI weight for carrying purposes?

A: A character with Teleportation (or Extra-Dimensional Movement) can
Teleport himself regardless of how much he weighs. However, if he buys
Increased Mass, that adds to what he can carry at the normal rate — the
first purchase lets him carry an extra 100 kg, the second an extra 300
kg, and so on.

I don't see why you'd get to teleport more weight just because you are
bigger. After all, you don't get bigger energy blasts just because
you are bigger.

Ahm. Hmmm. My instinct is to say yes, but I don't have any book
based support on that.

Just to justify my question - YOu get STR from Growth, and STR allows you to
carry more people when Running or Flying, so why not Teleporting?

Because STR doesn't give you the ability to carry more people while
teleporting. Doesn't matter whether your STR is 5 or 100, that Iris
Chateaubriand can teleport just as many people as Thermoman can for
the same investment.

10 points to anyone who can identify both references.

I'm not sure about the first, but Thermoman is from "My Hero", but I
don't remember him teleporting. :)

Mrs Raven teleported Disneyland to Siberia using his powers.
I'd say that means he can if he wants to.
