my main use of the computer is to play games, would it be worth it to get a widescreen?
btw i dont no a thing bout computers so be nice and simple please

Might depend on the type of games. For FPS and racing games, you might enjoy the extra width of widescreen for more peripheral vision. For strategy, you might enjoy the more square shape, so you don't have a narrower height.

Also, some older games may require more effort (editing text files) to make work with widescreen, and there could be cases where some old games won't support widescreen though I don't really know for sure. Even if you don't know a lot about computers, you can probably ask other gamers about how to do it for each game though.

Absolutely! I just made the switch myself and there is no way I could ever go back. Night and day IMHO.

YES!!!!!!

even if not everone of your games supports it, ull still get a kick out of it when doing normal office work
ie ability to view 2 windows side by side e.g. web page and word document, or a pdf ebook
