Controlling android phone from pc

how do i control my nexus one from my win7 pc? i download "screencast" (http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/) for the pc, but it doesn't seem to work. It's supposed to connect to the nexus one via usb and display the screen. I want to be able to see my phone screen on my pc as a separate windows and control it toanswer texts, browse the net, etc.
