Ok I am runing 2 36gig Raptors SATA in raid lvl 0 and recently tried to hook up a 20 gig 7200 Western Digital HDD on the secondary IDE bus for download space,Win XP installed drive and its in the Device manager and says it working properly.But Win XP doesn't apply a drive letter to it nor can i see it as active drive in "My Computer" section.I have tried different configs as master and as slave,but nothing.Did i skip a step.current computer config.

P4 3.0E
Intel D875PBZ mobo
1 gig of Crucial Ram
2 WD raptors Raid Lvl 0
1 Creative 52x cdrom, Master of Primary IDE\
LG 16x10x40 CD BURNER, Slave of Primary IDE\
1 20 gig WD HDD Master of Secondary IDE\
BFG 5950 Nvidia Video Card
1 Floppy
Audigy 2 Sound card

What's my problem, should i flip cdrom and burner to secondary and other HDD to primary? Thanks for the any help.

first of all is the drive detected in bios?
THen is it detected in windows?

Might help if you partition and format it

Right click my computer, click manage
then down in disk maangement, initialize, paritiotn and choose a drive letter, format, etc.

i had a problem with like this.

you need to install windows on your 2nd HDD ( set to master when doing this) . Then plug your raptor back in. and set your second drive to slave. Then problem fixed
