Component with yakumo dvd master XL2?

I have a screen with component yprpb, hdmi and sdi inputs which are the only ways it can do flicker free and hi-res pictures, can I use a scart or s-video to component (yprpb/RGB) block as there is only scart a/v and s-video output on player (its a good cheap player with hidden flicker-free or hi-res mode instead not mentioned in manual-why buy something else if a block is all I need?). Heres the block: component block also what digital souds have others got out of the player-digital surround or just stereo? (any hidden audio functions?)
