Help my new 20.1 ws is slowing my computer down

amazing thing i love it!!

BUT!! my computer is running way slower since going to this from a crappy crt. My system is a athlon socket a 2700+ 2x512megs of corsair pc3200 ati x850pro agp western dig 80 gig sata150.

I think all my drivers are up to date....and i installed the software that came with the monitor...I can't play counterstrike!! i go to join a server and it acts like its going to load and then just fails and leaves me looking at my desktop. Do i need a better gpu???!?

i'm using a VGA cable instead of DVI cause the monitor didn't come with a dvi cable....so far my biggest beef with this wonderful display!!

you might try setting the game resolution/refresh rate to match your desktop since you know the monitor works with those settings.
