I just built my first PC and I bought the Corsair XMS 3200XLPRO and I want to get my timings to 2-2-2-5 like they're supposed to. What do I cahnge to get those timings?
Which ones do I change/override? theres different ones? AND my ram is supposed to run at 2-2-2-5.
Im new to this sort of stuff.

I also just installed my pair of 512mb Corsair XMS CL2 pc3200. It defaulted at 3-3-3-8 1T. I find this odd considering it's labeled at 2-3-3-6 1T.
Is there a reason it doesn't default at these timings? Should I do like you told LilHomie Craig and start at 2.5-3-3-8 1T and after that's stable go to 2-3-3-6 1T? Or should I let it breath at these default timings before I lower them.
And I should change my voltage to 2.7? Because with my old Apacer memory I ended up getting about 4 BSOD's. I figure that's just because of the agressive timing I was setting for it. Wasn't sure if it was because of the Vdimm setting.
Well, I just kinda psychoed out a little and set the timings to 2-3-3-6 T1 and set Vdimm to 2.7. I figured since these were the timings listed for this RAM I should have a problem running them off the bat.
My stupid floppy drive isn't working for some reason so I can't run Memtest but I guess I will leave it like this and see what happens.
What would have happened if I had set the timings to 2-3-3-6 T1 and left Vdimm on Auto? Would it automatically adjust to 2.7 or stay at default? Was I right in adjusting to 2.7 with these timings?
Msi tends to undervolt memory so leave it at 2.7v. Actually, people report performance improvements running at 2,3,3,10 with this Neo. You didn't flip your floppy cable around, did you? Also, make sure you guys stay glued to this in case any little issues pop up.

I dont your bios but find the section about ram.
Change the value by SPD and set the timmings to 2-2-2-5 mannualy...
Raising the voltage to 2.7 wont do any harm and ensure proper stability...
Sometiems the SPD aint programmed correctly or some MB like to be a b... so you have to set it manually...
