So i'm looking to upgrade this pc to it's highest potential & i had a question about processor upgrades it says in the specs here...

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01628527&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3875750

Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 4800+ (up to 65 watt TDP)

anyway, i was looking this processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103887

but the Thermal Design Power is 80 watts.. is there an alternative, or would this processor even work in the SR5703?

I've read a little bit that TDP wattage determines the cooling system in a computer is required to dissipate but not whether it's possible to run a processor with 80 watts TDP with a 65 watt TDP threshold system. Would i need to get a better cooling system setup to offset the threshold/if it's possible?

Anyway if anyone has any better processor solutions i'm all ears! :)

It's not just for cooling, the CPU socket has to provide the power needed for it to run. If the motherboard can't, the PC either won't run, or crash, or fry the system and make crackers out of your components. Get an X2 4800+, seems to be the best CPU you can get for that system.
