Today I bought Fujitsu Siemens L19-2 lcd screen. From what I found in internet it had rather good specs:
Fujitsu Siemens SCALEOVIEW L19-2 - Flat panel display - TFT - 19" - 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz - 300 cd/m2 - 700:1 - 5 ms - 0.294 mm - DVI, VGA (HD-15)

However, when I first connected it to my PC it had a white line going from top to bottom, located closer to the right edge of the screen. Changing resolution and refresh rates didn't help. After some time it disappeared by itself. It came back when I woke up the screen from power saving mode and again disappeared after a while.
Another very annoying thing is that it is noisy. At first I thought it was the backlit. Now I think it might be the speakers. Turning the volume to 0 does not help, its always there. The noise is very similar to general static noise. the type that the TV makes when there is nothing in the channel.
The other thing: where are the speakers? I just cannot locate them. The unit has a line-in socket and the cable. The picture in the link is the correct one and as you see there is no speakers. Tried connecting it to my sound card with no results. I don't hear anything. Here is a link to manual which mentions audio line-in port:
