Currently I am living in Afghanistan on a base. The way internet connectivity works here is we live in what is basically a shipping container and there is a free, unsecured wireless network broadcast through the living area. Once joined to the wireless network any browser requests first redirect you to a login page where you log in once per hour, and it is limited to one instance logged in at a time with your username.
The shipping container walls really kill the wireless signal. We get speeds 2-3 times as fast just with the door open.
What I am looking for is a solution that will allow me to place an antenna or something on the roof and then run ethernet cables inside through a small hole that is already there. I would ideally like the solution to be able to have 2 ethernet cables run because I have a roommate.
I assume there is someway I can do this with a router that has DD-WRT or something on it, but Im not sure if a wireless bridge would work with the login or what I need to do.
