Buffalo 512MB DDR PC-3700

Newegg offers a " Buffalo Technology 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3700 w/ Winbond Module" for a great price on their site. Unfortunately they only have one left in stock. I would like to get a pair for my dual channel motherboard (Asus P4P800). Their customer service did not respond to my email inquiring if they would ever get more of these sticks.

Does anyone know if these memory sticks are still in production? I doubt it, but I would like to make sure.

Probably a mistake by newegg and contains micron ICs as opposed to winbond. Winbond no longer in RAM business.

Well, newegg somehow got more in stock and they are still advertised as having Winbond modules so I bought a pair. Is there a program out there I can get that will tell me if I actually have Winbond chips as opposed to some other inferior memory chip? Thanks.

You could jsut read the manufacturer's name off the IC's before you put the stick of memory in.
