Its kind of ambiguous. It describes it as Radeon mobile 4870 x 2/ 512 MB crossfire...so is that 2 gpu sharing 512 memory, or 2 gpu each with 512 memory for a total of 1 gig.

Each GPU has 512MB of memory, but that does not add up to 1GB. Since each GPU has only access to up to 512MB of memory, the maximum amount of memory usable per GPU is 512MB. Neither GPU can use 1GB of memory. Lots of people miss that fact with dual card setups.

Thanks, I finally found a line on xoticpc that actually said 512 (1024) on it. Looks like I'm buying one of these monsters since the clevo version isn't for release till Q3 '09 according to pro-star.

Any reason I should be waiting for the clevo over this one?

Clevo notebooks are generally better built. That's about all, really.
