Odd problem with our Toshiba laptop (running Vista). Pressing ANY key on the keyboard opens the default browser. Type a ten letter word and ten browser windows open!
Perhaps the keyboard is somehow tripping the hardwired "open browser" button. Toshiba repair service suggested replacing the motherboard for about $500. (isn't that what a new laptop costs?)
But we are thinking we might be able to find a simple registry tweak to block the hard button or block the default browser from opening in this way. Can anyone help?
