Indeed I do.
The only thing I truly want to do is play a few mmorpg's like WoW and 2moons at full res with max settings.
I was looking at an msi laptop on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834152073
and had my budget around 900-1000.
It seemed viable but now I'm half considering things like the xps, some of ibuypowers offerings, alienware, ocz diy notebooks.
My general area of knowledge is of desktops but I want a gaming laptop 
1000ish maybe
I guess the top end of my budget is 1500.

How terribly ironic that you would show a sager.
I've had the same sager laptop since 1998 or so.
It still has it's 20 gig hard drive with windows 98 and a dvd player.
