Hi,

Im looking for a new big Widescreen monitor for my PC.

I want the Westinghouse LVM-37w3, but since im in Canada, its not possible, but the LVM-42w2 is available for a very good price, 1800$ CAD.

Is 42 too big for a desktop monitor ?

Im sitting at 3 feet of my monitor right now.

Thanks for your help !

PS. I have a Sapphire X1950xt ... can this handle at max setting most current game ? (at 1920x1080) , CPU is an e6600 @ 3.6Ghz

As far as I know the only decent monitors for desk top use in large size are the Apple 30" and I think it is Dell or someone who has a simialr performing 30"

Using 42" screens usually means a max resolution of just 1300x768 or so (approximate.)

Looked up the westinghouse max resolution is 1920 x 1080 at the resolution sitting within 3 or 4 feet you are going to be seeing pixels....and the over all quality will suck. You would need to sit back farther to get a good visual. Again the largest Monitors with decent resolution are the apple and one other that I just cant seem to remember....Its the Dell 3007FP

oops turns out that HP also has a 30" monitor out there too
