Are there any good websites for Hero System for the fantasy
genre? Writeups of bog standard fantasy RPG magic effects
and character concepts?

Mike Surbrook has a fair amount of material (for many genres) here:
<http://surbrook.devermore.net/index/&gt;. However, your best bet is
probably to pick up _Fantasy Hero_.

Shouldn't this be in rec.games.frp.misc? This group is for supers
roleplaying.
