Network adapter

Hello,
Hi,I have window 7 home installed in my pc (accer) 2 days ago.I have been trying to connect direct to the internet by dsl moderm but i can't get it through,the computer tell me I DONT HAVE NETWORK ADAPTER ISTALLED.PLEASE MS CAN GET MENTIONED DRIVER OR COULD YOU EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE?
