I am looking at this TV...

http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Io87p4j_GVA7mrcCpQsxrMfx8T4TlzUCPtA=?CategoryName=tv_ProjectionTVs_RearProjection&ProductSKU=KP51WS510&Dept=tv

It has a 3D Digital Comb Filter. Some other TVs I have looked at have a 3D Y/C Comb Filter. Are they the same thing? I was just in Circuit City and the display for the above TV said it had a 3D Y/C Comb Filter, but the sony site says otherwise. If they are different, which is better?

Much thanks if anyone can help me with this.

The word "yc" does not add detail to a comb filter's description. All comb filters belong to the family of electronic devices known as Y/C separators although not all Y/C separators are comb filters.

All 3D comb filters are digital. The word "digital" has been seen in store posters describing certain simple (two line) comb filters also. Therefore "digital" all by itself is not an assurance of an upscale comb filter.
