Advice for windows tablet for oil field pumpers

Hi,

I work for an oil and gas company and we are looking into providing our oil field pumpers tablets or handhelds that are windows compatible, rugged, and are relatively easy to use for non-techies.

I'm just starting my research so any information as a starting point would be appreciated.
