I'm trying to make my Playstation 2 works on my PC.
So, I bought Plextor AV100U Video capture hoping it would fulfill my dream.

I think I'm missing something here. Can someone tell me how I can make all this possible? Am I even buying the right product? or what software should I buy or download?

Thanks in advance.

I have not messed with the video capture devices, I am not sure that is what you need though.

Here's how I did it:

I went down to the local PC store and bought a TV Tuner card, bought the one above for $55. Is stereo, comes with a remote and everything, and acts just like a TV, so all you have to do is plug your Playstation in as you would on a normal TV. I personally as using a N64, bought should be the same. Had the card for about a year now, no complaints.

You may be able to do it with what you have but I'm not sure how to off hand. Maybe wait and see if anyone else responds.

Thanks for the post.

I checked the MSI but it doesn't have the red & yellow audio in from the PS2. How can I play the sound from my PC?

Another thing is, I might be able to get my Plextor AV100U to work but I just need the software that will allow me to play it like a TV. What software are you using?

I am using the MSI software that came with the card, I can't remember the name off the top of my head. I used the audio in spot on the MSI card, with a 0.95¢ adapter from the surplus store. It converts the audio in, into two RCA inputs (Red and White plugs you are talking about).

Any video input card (any TV card that has video inputs) can be used to input the video. The audio can be connected directly to your "Line In" jack on your soundcard. You need an adapter with stereo minijack on one end and dual RCA connectors on the other for audio. You can actually buy a 3-foot cable with the different ends if desired, which might be necessary if a block style adapter would otherwise block the other soundports.

I have one of those cards. Works great. No complaints. As for audio, buy a converter for the video and the sound to run into the video input.
