suddenly from nowhere this happened :
on my asus m51s (geforce 9500 M GS videocard) fan runs constantly on. It is on since computer boots and never turns off. I tried turning laptop off/on several times, reinstall VGA drivers, cpu/vga temps are OK (60 VGA, 45 CPU). Its terrible noise, any suggestions ? :(

Have you upgraded your graphics drivers? Nvidias newer drivers turn the fan on for longer periods of time.

Fan speed is control by EC firmware. EC firmware sometimes is combined in the system BIOS code or a saperate FW code. Try to reflash your EC firmware to see if the issue gone. If not, inspect heatsink contact with CPU and GPU. It could be lossen and now over time suddently get worst so the EC FW monitoring high temp hence forcing fan keep running constantly to cool down high temp part.

yes I've already uprgraded video card driver to newest version, but as I said, fan runs since boot so it didnt really help ....
as for EC firmware - well I am not really into this, but I think you think off CPU issue and I am saying this is video card issue for sure ...
if I am wrong, feel free to correct me, I'd welcome that
